Trends & talk around the town

Too pooped to scoop?

Dirty Work™, Atlanta's professional pooper scoopers, wants to take over the job of cleaning up after Atlanta pets.

"Most people these days are very busy, and they do not want to spend their free time picking up dog waste," said company co-founder Erin Erman. "With eight full-time employees, we average 180 customers a week, and we service hotels, condos, apartments, townhouses and even some shopping centers."

For $12 per visit, Dirty Work™ removes dog waste for pet owners in the 15-county metro area. But the owners see Dirty Work™ as doing more than helping Atlantans avoid the worst part of having a pet.

"Our service is a great asset to the metro area because most individuals do not pick up their pet waste," said Erman's poop partner, Cara Brown. "That in turn hurts the environment when it rains, and the run-off gets into our water supply."

Dirty Work offers discounts to physically or visually impaired persons with assistance dogs, senior citizens, dog foster homes and police officers with patrol dogs. Get the rest of the poop on Dirty Work at http://www.dirtywork.net/.
